Having a disability for over 40 years, Executive Director and Founder Debra Burke has been a client of personal care agencies for more than 26 years. Combined with over 14 years of working in the PCA Industry, Debra had decided there were things that could be changed for the better in this business.  Debra believes it is very important to foster independence and empower clients through their own choices. Debra makes certain that Break-Thru Home Care’s primary focus is meeting their client’s needs and personal satisfaction.

Audua Pugh, Program Manager, uses her skills and experiences in both an office setting and as a PCA herself, to provide clients with PCA scheduling and staffing coverage, conflict resolution through mediation and is the first point of contact for all new hires and client referrals.  Audua processes all new hires and assists with review of time sheets and payroll distribution.

LaSonya Johnson, Billing & Claims Specialist, assists the program with all service billing matters, works closely with the provider help desk to resolve client service agreement issues, as well as handles workers compensation & unemployment claims.

Michele Bird, Supervisory Registered Nurse and Bridget Siljander, Qualified Professional (QP) for Break-Thru Home Care, Inc.    They provide assistance with care plan development, co-supervision, training  & evaluation to Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) that focus on personal and professional person-centered care.

Emily Horner retired from Break-Thru in October 2010 & Kecia Hayslett has moved forward to support her own Skilled Nursing Agency.
